Several hours later, Henley slid on his favourite outfit: a black tank covered with a black transparent short sleeve t-shirt, tucked into jeans, which were also black with multicoloured dragons and flowers all over them. Completing his outfit were black combat boots, bracelets, two rings and a silver chain necklace. He had styled his hair in a side parting, allowing his hair to flow into a natural wave. Obviously, he put some hairspray on as well. There was no way he’d be able to keep it looking this fantastic without some help.

Checking the watch he’d just clipped onto his wrist, he saw it was ten past five. He had just under an hour before Isaac would be back to pick him up. Maybe he could fit in one episode of his favourite drag show.

The thought had him hauling his ass down the stairs and to the sofa. He dropped down, snatching the remote from the coffee table and set the programme running. It wasn’t even five minutes later when the doorbell rang. Henley jumped up from the sofa and ran to the door, flinging it open in eagerness.

There Isaac stood wearing a light blue shirt, which was open at the neck, black jeans and boots. But what cinched the gorgeous factor was the leather jacket. He looked fantastic. In his hands were a bouquet of freesias and a small box.

“Hello again, sweetheart. You look amazing.”

Henley felt his cheeks heat with the compliment, and he ducked his head. He was usually so confident when it came to how he looked and acted, but from Isaac, who meant so much to him, it felt more personal, for obvious reasons.

Closing the door behind Isaac, Henley whipped around him to pause the show and faced him once more, a little shy. “I’m excited to go out again. I haven’t seen many of the execs these past two weeks.”

“Yeah, we’ve been busy with all the stores opening. Everyone will be letting off steam tonight.” Isaac stepped closer to Henley, holding out the flowers. “These are for you.”

“How did you know they were my favourite?” Henley lowered his head and breathed deeply of their scent.

“I noticed you have several pictures with them in, so I took a chance. I wasn’t certain until your face lit up when you saw them.” Isaac lifted his hand, cupping the box in his palm as he offered it to Henley. “And this is for you, too.”

“You didn’t have to buy me anything.”

“I know, but I liked this when I saw it.”

Henley smiled as he undid the purple ribbon, laying it over the arm of the sofa before lifting the gold lid. Nestled inside was a key chain. Henley pulled it out and held it up in the air. It was a gold circle, and the middle spun around. The centre picture was clear glass filled with rainbow colours. As he held it up to the light, it shone brilliantly.

“It’s beautiful,” Henley breathed.

“I thought it might go nicely with your keys.”

Henley nodded.
